Posted a similar question in the HTPC section but thought it suited this section as well. I cant seem to get my bios screen or any kind of dos screen to display on my ae700, worked fine on my 500 but I just get a black screen if i try to boot a ghost disk or enter my pc bios. Is their a way to get round this as its a totall ball ache having to lug a monitor into the lounge if i need to do any dos or bios work.

I know it doesnt help you but this works fine on mine. The only thing you might double check is to have the projector on before the PC

    Hello,

I suspect that you need to change the EDID setting. I have to on my AE500.

I'm running through vga so the edid setting is not used. I now suspect it to be a problem specific to the 9600 range of ati cards.
