    Hi folks,

I have a Panny AE500, only currently used for dvd but the image from the PJ tapers at the bottom from left to right several inches, the top is fine, anyone have any ideas?

also, does anyone know of a PJ that can project a 7ft image from 9'6"?, my panny does around 71".

    kind regards

    Neil

If the top is fine but the bottom noticeably narrows towards one side then that's very odd and sounds like a hardware issue.

I've not heard of any user-defined software correction which allows the modification of only one corner of an image.

Sounds like the projector isn't mounted totally square to the screen

According to projectorcentral, both the Z3 and AE700 fall just short of a 7ft (84") screen width from a range of 9'6" - they are both 82". However, their calculator also says the AE500 will do 82" from that range as well - so you'd have to check the figures.
It also says both the PJTX100 (Hitachi) at 89" and the HS51 (which AFAIK is the same as our HS50 in this respect) at 87", will be OK from that range, so it looks like maybe there's at least one or two LCD PJs that will do it (unless the calculator is crap).
