AE100 Threaded Lens ??

    I just noticed the lens on the AE100 is threaded, much like my SLR. Is this so you can use filters? and if so what for?

    yes it is for a filter but there does not seem to be a panny one. People have had some success getting other filters to fit using tape see this thread

    I guess I was just curious about it. Is it worth putting a skylight filter or something to protect the lens?
