I have had an AE100 for a while and clocked up around 300 hours on it. I have been generally impressed with the performance, given its price, until recently I noticed that the left hand side of the screen has a greenish tint and the right hand side a red one.

The effect is not so bad as to make the projector useless, but annoying once you notice it and distracting during a film.

I have done searches on the forum for this effect and note it is quite common with the AE100 but I have further questions:

I’m not completely clear what causes it – could someone explain?
    Is it possible to repair?
Has anyone had this successfully repaired?
Does the AE300 suffer from it?
Is it common to Panasonics design or do all LCD projectors suffer?

    Thanks,

    Buzz

    Hi
I have a sanyo z1 & it has a slight green patch in the top left & bottom right, plus a slight purple patch in the top right & bottom left so i asked what it was? on the Avs forum they say it's normal in lcd pj.
But it doesn't bother me that much it helps if you just watch the film ;)
