After buying a new amp (SONY STR-DB795) I need to buy some decent speakers, I did have a budget of £500 but that has proved too little.

I was about to order the AE EVO 3B from HiSpek after reading the reviews on here but have seen the 6.1 and 7.1 versions available elsewhere, is it worth getting these in the 6.1 or 7.1 guises? or just get the basic 5.1.

Will these work well with the amp? Mainly will be for DVD's and sky plus.

    Many thanks

I used to have the Evo 3B's, very good speakers. If not the best for the money

5.1,6.1,7.1? Really its down to the size of your room.

If you have a small room then 6.1/7.1 wont really be worth getting (the effects channels will be too localised IMHO).

If you have a medium-large room then go for 6.1/7.1.

But if you are anything like me then ignore what I have said and go for 10.2

Hope this helps. Just my opinion mind ;)
