Advise please!

Hi all,
I have narrowed down my p.j to either a NEC HT1000 or a Sony HS20. I would like to know which one is more highly regarded and also does the Sony suffer from the dust build up problem I have been reading about?

No problems with dust on the HS10 .

OK, newer version of the HT1000 now available, called the HT1100.

Not a HS20 but I did compare the HS10 & HT1000 some time ago.

Have a look at the link in my sig.

HS10/20 = very high resolution while the HT1000/1100 are DLPs with higher contrast ratio & lower resolution.

HS20 is better than the HS10 so factor that into my opinion but the biggest drawback for me was (comparatively) NEC's lack of resolution.

Both different technologies so a demo is recommended. Also throw ratios to be considered with the Sonys being among the longer throw PJs currently available.

Thanks for the info. Have seen the Sony HS20 and was quite impressed with the blacks. Have not had a chance to see the NEC yet so I am unsure if r.e will bother me.
