    Hi,

after damaging my Sony strd 930 Amp, I submitted a clain to my home contents policy. I supplied a quote from SO stating that the Receiver was beyond economical repair and suggesting a Denon 2803 as a suitable replacement.

My insurance company has come back saying that their suppliers (empire direct I think) say that this is too high and they have said the Sony STRDBS 2000S as a suitable replacement or I can have a £361 cheque made out to a shop if I wanted something different

    My questions are

    1. Is this amp at a suitable level seeing as though the 930 was a supertest winner in its day

    2. Is £361 a suitable value

    2. What would be a suggested replacement for this Amp

Thanks in advance for any pointers that are given

    Steve L
