A friend is looking at buying a flatscreen LCD for her flat in the Alps (the CRT takes up a lot of room in a small flat near the slopes).

It will be connected to a UK DVD player and UK games consoles mostly - though it could be connected to a French TV signal as well.

Will a UK TV be ok with a French TV signal (its SECAM isn't it) or is it better to buy a french one?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
