I currently have a sony all in one micro satellite system, which has a 100w x5 reciever, a sub, and 5 small 100w satellite speakers. Im looking to upgrade, but for now, would upgrading the fronts and centre to bookshelfs or possibly floorstanders be beneficial? How would it sound? What advice does anyone have on this subject?

    Cheers

    Jarrod.

Im not sure it would be a good idea as the amp is probably tuned/setup to drive the small speakers of the system. The only place I would recomend doing this from if you want to try is richer sounds. Buy some book shelves like the mission m71i
    http://www.richersounds.sv01.net/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=301131
    and the mission centre
    http://www.richersounds.sv01.net/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=301622
Then if it all goes tits up or sounds like a dogs dinner you can take it all back within 14 days. If it sounds its a good start of the future upgrade of seperate amp, dvd and front speakers like:
    http://www.richersounds.sv01.net/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=301216
and assignt the m71i to surround duties and add a sub at later date:devil:
