Good Afternoon,

Newbie so be kind please.

I have recently had a media wall/unit built (Pic attached) and has now been plastered so waiting to dry then ready for TV bracket to be put up.

My question for a professional is what fixings would you use for the TV Bracket.

The TV Bracket weighs - 6kg
The TV weighs - 14kg

The wall is built by a Timber Structure / MDF Boards attached to Timber / Plasterboards attached to MDF Boards / Plastered.

The MDF boards are roughly 25mm

I cannot attach any bracket to the Timber Structure as none are in the right place.

Thanks in advance.

Is the wall behind it solid?

If so I used something called a rigifix bolt for attaching a tv bracket to a masonry wall behind some dot and dab plastering.

They are made for fixing to a surface behind a cavity, so if the fake wall you have made isn’t sturdy enough then they could attach through it to the solid wall behind it.
