Hello there - I am new to the world of plasma screens and to this forum :)

I work at an independent car dealership and the boss has asked me to specify and set up a plasma screen display showing pics and details of all cars for sale. He'd like a 42-incher and envisages feeding the data from a pc he intends to link to the screen.

I should add that being a car dealer he's a bit keen on value for money (times are hard right now...) so we're looking at the budget end of things.

If anyone has any recommendations and wise words it would be much appreciated. He has very upmarket premises and wants to show the lazy, local franchised dealers he means business!

    Cheers in anticipation...

    Hi

The budget will be 2000 GBP or less unfortunately. I think I'm pretty tech savvy (well I can build a pc, set up a network and operate recording studio equipment if that counts).

well for images are you going to use a digi camera? basiclly Pic of car and description next to it? an HD panel would be ideal but £2k+ i would say go see the NEC VR5 (good connections and warranty/ se the Fujitsu HCA/HHA (over budget) and Panny PW7 burn some images to a CD or take a laptop and go demo some screens, where are you?

Thanks for suggestions. Yes, basic car info with a PowerPoint type presentation perhaps. We're hoping to use a new Dell desktop to run the show. We're far north of Scotland, nearest big city is Inverness, although Aberdeen may be worth a visit.
