I bought this plasma off a friend who upgraded to 61 inch. I have a problem that can be best assimilated to running a comptuer monitor at 'thousands' of colors, rather than 'millions' of colors,

I run my DVD to my Marantz SR-19 receiver with a Monster Video 2 S-Video cable and from the receiver to the screen with the same cable. (no component cabling on a SR-19). I get an un-uniform color rendition where it appears that the screen does not have enough color memory to render in 'millions' of colors, producing distinguishable, stepped color gradients, rather than smooth color transitions. Especially noticable on skin tones, where reddish hotspots are very annoying.

    Make sense? Any suggestions?
