    hi.

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago but I have lost the thread.

So once again, can anyone advise me which firewire cable is I can use as my i-link cable as I did not get one with my 868 as s/h bought via the forums.

I hope to jog over to my hi-fi shop this weekend to taste the delights of i-link.

Thanks again if you can help or even locate my original thread.????

    Pete.

    I think you need a crossover cat5e.

Looking at the previous thread it looks like you need a firewire cable and not a Cat5 crossover lead. I have no experience of either in the HC context though. :)

 I was getting confused with my pc!

You need any standard firewire cable (4 pin - 4 pin) for i-link.

Just to confirm, a Cat 5/RJ45 cable won't even fit in the ports, let alone transfer your sound.

A 4 pin to 4 pin firewire (IEEE1394) cable is what you need.
