Im considering purchasing an LCD TV from BT Shop.com. They have advised that if I wish to return it within 7 days as I dont like it then they will collect it from me at a cost of £17.95 plus VAT. Ebuyer only charges £5 for the same service ! My (perhaps a little naughty) question is this.... If I was to order the TV then decide I didnt like it, I could claim that there was an intermittent fault on the screen, and BT Shop would collect it from me for free. But how likely are they to actually thoroughly test the set for an "intermittent fault" before issuing a refund ? I basically would like to avoid paying over £20 to return the item - £5 I think is reasonable, but £20 seems a lot (more than the delivery charge of most retailers !). Im fairly sure BTshop links through to Dabs.com - so if anyone has any comments/experience of returning items to Dabs it would probably be relevant ? Thanks.
