I'm thinking about upgrading my old Hi/Fi Equipment - Rotel Amp and Celestion DL6 Speakers to a Home Cinema Set-up, but I still want to keep a half decent system for music.

    I've shortlisted the following
    Marantz AV 5200/5300
    Tannoy Revolution R3's - Fronts
    Tannoy Revolution RC - Center
    Possibly Mission 77DS - Rears

Could anybody give me any advice on if this combination will work together, or any other equipment that I should consider.

    Many thanks
    Mike

You don't say which Rotel amp you have, but those lovely R3's will sing with good quality amplification. It would be best to compare the Marantz vs your Rotel (take it with you for a demo) to see if it is better to 1) keep the Rotel for front duties and Marantz for centre/rears or 2) dump the old Rotel and use Marantz (or Yamaha or Denon) exclusively.

Tannoys/Missions are all easy to drive, so either option will be sweet.
