ok guys as some of you may know today i got my 360 elite, and now i want to take the next step and connect to the internet and start online gaming. Pretty scary for me as not up with how to do it but im sure i can work it out. At the moment i have a netgear wireless router with a usb adapter which means my pc upstairs can connect to the internet wirelessly, now would i be able to put this in the my 360 and connect to the internet that way as this means i can save £70 as i wont have to buy the 360 wireless adapter
    Thanks

You could always buy an ethernet based wireless gaming adapter. They may be cheaper then then the official USB wireless adapter. Ofcourse they do require their own power supply.

You shouldnt pay more than £55 for the wireless adapter.

Just a tip but "How long do rechargeable batteries last?" would have been a much better title than "Advice please".

How far apart are the 360 and router? If the router has ethernet ports, as many do, and they're close enough together, go via ethernet. I do and have no issues.

If your router doesn't have ethernet ports, but is still cose to the 360, how about a cheap ethernet switch or a new router with ethernet? Both of tese may be cheaper than the USB wireless adaptor

But then you would have said "why are you asking about batteries in your title, when you want to know about the wireless adaptor".
