advice please

    i have 6 spaekers include eltax power tower floor standing , mission rear and 2 smaller spaker.i guess floor stander do sub woofer job.but i still got one connection for active subwoofer to my amp pionner D912. i wonder seperate sub woofer better than floor stander sub.

    any suggestions please.

    Your floor standers will go nowhere near as low as a dedicated sub.
    Prevailing advice seems to be to spend at least £200 on a sub or you end up with a boom box....PJ

    At least the cheaper Eltaxes don't offer that good bass, it's muddy and boomy, so a good sub would give your system a new sound. Wharfedale's SW150 is a nice sub at least on music, films I haven't demoed. Also nice subs Velodyne 10", BK XLS200, some REL, SVS PB10..

    thanks for the above suggestion. i look at thr richersound site.what about mordaunt short 309 compare to velodyne 10".
