Advice please with buying a new large LCD TV

Hi all.
Apologies if this question has been asked before? I did try to search it before posting so as not to annoy but couldn't find answers.

I am currently looking to buy a new large screen either 70 or 75". I am on a pretty strict budget and £800 is limit. From my research both Samsung and LG offer big screens that fit in well. My simple question is which panel would you lean towards for my budget?

Again apologies if this has been covered but I couldn't find it.

You are better off indeed with a top 65 than a mediocre 77....
For 77, you need to stretch your budget further to circa £1200 at least. For what is worth, considering the amount of time we spend in front of the tv...investment is worth it without a doubt.
