    ok, there are these two...
    GTV27WLCD,
    http://ws2.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=GOOD-GTV27WLCD
    £599

    And this one...
    LD2601
    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/455_218880.html
    £699

    The first is a 27" model, at 1280x720, the second a 26" at 1280x768.
Now, apart from the blummin obvious (Screen res and price) does anyone have any opinions as to the quality of these two? I'd prefer the first as it has a proper 1280x720 res, it's 27", and er, it's 100 quid cheaper! But is the second one a better telly?

Any thoughts? I'd like to buy tonight....!

Cheers for any advice you can give.

If you happen to be close to a Sainsburys store that has them in stock, you might want to consider the Sonix 26" LCD as an alternative. If you read the thread on it elsewhere in this forum, you will see some very positive feedback.

It's been suggested that it might actually be the same panel as the Goodmans 26 inch, although people say it outperforms it.

And, best of all, it's only £499!

Good advice, and believe me, I've tried! I've been ringing local stores for days, none appear to have been brought up here ...! If anyone knows different, then please shout up, I'd be delighted to get my hands on one...
I'm in the Manchester area, I believe some were 'spotted' in the Oldham store, but when I rang up, there were none there. Yup, I've even rung Sainsburys HO, no help at all, promised a ring back after checking stores local to me, didn't even get the call back...

    :(

    Indeed I am!!
Was getting REALLY frustrated... I have tried SO many branches all to be told, well, basically, that they had never heard of it. S/b head office were useless, didn't even call me back... was just trying a few more distant branches, pot luck stylee.... and found 'em!!

    Cheers anyway!
Must admit, if I can pursuade the mrs, I might relegate the sonix to the bedroom, and buy a 30" relysis from Richer, £799!!!!

Oh god, here I go again... :suicide:
