Hiya all, I am thinking of a upgrade:

    I currently have:

    Panasonic 36" W/S TV
    Toshiba 330e M/R DVD
    Marantz SR4200
Tannoy 633S Floor Standers Fronts (sat about 3ft away from the tv due to no shielding)
    Morduant Short 905centre
    Morduant Short MSB20 Bi-Polar Rears

I watch Movies on DVD aswell as listen to Music

I am looking to either upgrade the fronts or should I add a Sub, I was thinking of the Mordaunt Shorts 904's ???

    Any advice welcome, please.

    Thanks

    Taz

If you like the Tannoys then I would get a sub as you are unlikely to get what a sub will give you from Floorstanders. IMO

Unless you go to the expense of proper full range speakers(and to get down to 20Hz is seriously expensive in terms of speaker systems),a sub is the single quickest, best and cheapest upgrade you can make to your system.

Your only problem then is to decide on which sub,and there are loads of people here who'll give you advice on that...choosing the right one,i.e.one that works well in your room,is critical, and once you've shortlisted a few in your price range, get as many as possible on home demo before deciding.
