Advice please on recorder for connection to SKY+, recording in DD

    Are there any recorders yet that are able to accept DD 5.1 input from my Sky+ box for recording?

    I dont really want to buy a recorder until this is available, as I can only see myself buying another when it does.

    I'm not bothered about a HDD as Sky+ already has that facility..... I just want to archive, but with the added facility of taking advantage of the 5.1 encoded films.

    AFAIK there is only Sky+ which will record in DD5.1 now and in the future. I believe Sky will not allow full DD5.1 recording from its sources or else it will dent Sky+'s attractiveness and list of unique features.
