    Hi,
Could anyone please advise a "best buy" sort of thing for my money, Im looking for it to have decent sound aswell as I dont have a surround sound system, also around 42" would be nice, it wouldnt be wall mounted for the time being.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Cheers
    Pete

The LGPX11 has onboard sound but if i were you i'd look at plasma and 5.1 sound system as two seperate buys. you won't get a system that is part of the plasma, maybe as a package somewhere but not like the old crt.

if you could wait and stretch to 2k then you might have better options.

I just found out a colleague of mine has the PX10 and says he has the lip sync issue, but it's barely noticeable.. I'll go and have a demo at his place to see how this goes.

    Philips 42PF9946

Must be on your shortlist, and would be my choice to buy at any rate.

Beware that about 1/2 LG owners say their screen is perfect, the other half whinge like hell. Either quality control leaves much to be desired, or 1/2 of them are wrong.

Yes, it's Samsung glass with Philips electronics. To me it looks like watching through a grey mist.
