Advice on upgrading my Apex Speakers

Just purchased an Anthem 710 receiver and must say very impressed so far but now looking into the possibility of building a dedicated home cinema room and therefore looking to upgrade my Monitor Audio Apex speakers as no need to be wife friendly anymore.

Truth is I have been very happy with the Apex set up but always felt sound compromised by the smaller lounge friendly box therefore and now looking at floor standers.

Of particular interest is the following:

KEF R500 5.1 set up minus the sub.......anybody got these and what do they think.

Ken Kreisel Q125 fronts + KK Q125 centre and KK Q85 for rears

SVS Ultra Tower / Ultra Centre and Ultra Surround

I will be looking to demo soon but anybody who has had the Apex set and has moved on to something better I would love to hear from you.

i guess it would depend on your budget, room size etc, also will you be buying a sub as part of the upgrade. Will this just be dedicated cinema and no music? have you thought about the M&K speakers as well

Room size is quite small, looking to convert half of my garage - approx 4.5M Long by 2.4M wide.

It will be mainly used as cinema room but also for music.

Yes i would consider the M&K, although whatever I use I will be looking to place behind the screen using an AT material.

if it were me i would demo the MK S150 MK2's and the Ken Kreisel Q125, i would defo look at bookshelf speakers if you are looking at an AT screen as you can have all the front speakers at the same height etc.
