Hi All,

Please suggest the best setup for the room as per the attachments, there is basically 2 options I can think of but need advice.

Option 1 - using more of the room space but speakers are tuck in below the staircase

Option 2 - utilizing smaller space and place speakers in top corners

Both of those options need advice on the rear speaker placement :lease:

Another question on rear speaker hight; can I mount them in the top corner and face them downwards or would it be better to mount them just above ear level whilst seated?

From what I have read rear speakers should be placed circa 2 feet above ear level and you should not aim them directly at the listening position . this is because their purpose is to create a diffused soundfield to 'surround' you with sound rather than the listner being able to pick out the precise location of the source.
