Hi all,
I am looking for some advice on a new 5.1 setup that I'm considering. This will be my first proper 5.1 setup and I want it to be high quality and future proof. I may consider adding dolby atmos in the future but for now it will be traditional 5.1.
I am looking at the following:
B&W 606 S2 for L/R on stands
B&W HTM6 for Centre
B&W 607 for surrounds - Wall mounted
SVS SB1000 Sub
My budget is up to £3k. I'd rather buy new and not used.
Living room is L shaped. I'll be about 3.5 metres away from the front speakers and the surrounds will be right behind me on the wall.
I was looking at Denon 2700 for the AV receiver but I am not sure if this is the best choice. It needs to have eARC and atmos for future proofing. I will be buying HDMI 2.1 devices in the future, such as PS5 etc.
My question is, I need to wall mount the surrounds as there is no space behind the couch for them to be on stands. I have read the 607s are rear firing so they need to be at least 30cm from the wall. Does anybody have any recommendations for surrounds that would pair nicely with this setup?
Thanks
