advice on philips PFL7642D please

hi i wondered if people could help me - i curently have a 42" samsung plasma which only goes up to 1080i am looking at getting this tv - wondering because a friend of mine has a big lcd tv and the colours on his xbox 360 look really washed out compared to my plasma? which is better for gaming lcd or plasma?? would my ps3 and 360 look good on this tv??
