Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my media center hardware, to best combine it with my new Themescene HD80 projector. I'm pretty out of touch with whats new on the hardware scene, so can anyone recommend a good combination of the following, to make my media center a good HD machine:

- Motherboard
- Memory
- Processor
- Quiet Processor Fan
- Video Card (HDMI)

My case is a Silverstone LaScala.

Thanks guys

No disrespect, but when I looked to build my repalcement HTPC, I did lots of reading of websites, and forums.

Then I put together a list of conponemnts and asked for advice.

May Isuggest you read a few forums, websites first.

What are youlooking for from yoru new HTPC?

Hi-Def satelite recording?
Watching HD downloads?
Watching and recording freeview channels?
Conecting to sky?
Wathcing DVD movies?
Wathcign BLu-ray or HD DVDs
Music server?

When youahve a list of requirements, then youcan start to source possible conponmnet.s

TRy http://projecthtpc.co.uk/ as well as looking through several threads here. There are plenty of threads where people are currnetly building and tweaking their new HTPC set ups.

sorry if i sound negatiave, but for me half of the fun was the reasearching into it befre slecting conponemnts. If your not preapred to research, go and buy one of the shelf
