A colleague of mine was given a HTC Desire S, it originally wouldn't even switch on. I have managed to get the phone to boot and restored all the software and it now starts up.

We have no idea what network it was on or whether it is locked (possibly T-Mobile)

The phone now connects to t-mobile with a full 3g signal but will not make or recieve calls or texts, this led me to think the phone had been a lost or stolen handset so this was checked against CheckMEND Country Selection and the phone IMEI number has come back as clear never lost, stolen or subject to a claim.

So I am a bit stuck as what to do next, any advice appreciated.
