I am preparing to build a new home. The main floor is open and I would like ceiling mounted speakers throughout. I’m guessing 6-8 speakers would fill it very well and that would be zone 1. I would also like 2 speakers mounted in an eve above our patio which would be zone 2. Throughout the home would be amazon echo variants. What sort of amp and/or receiver combination could allow easy integration with Alexa to drive all those speakers and also control two zones. Advice on better ways to do this would be much appreciated!

Easiest way is use something like a Denon X4400H as it will comfortably drive most ceiling speakers, it will give you 2 zones one of 7 speakers and the other of 2 speakers and has Alexa integration built in. I control my X3400H with Alexa.
