Advice on dvb tuner/video capture card please

Standard Member
Hi all,

Over the last few weeks I've been looking for a USB or PCMCIA device to do some VHS to DVD captures. Whilst investigating I was also wondering if I could get a device that had a DVB tuner as well? My wishlist is therefore as follows:-

1 - USB, Firewire or PCMCIA interface (would prefer USB)
2 - Includes S-Video and Composite connection
3 - DVB-T
4 - Hardware encoding

I've found a couple of cards that cover 1-3 but can't be sure if any of them also includes number 4? Such as the Terratec Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS or the AverTV Hybrid+FM cardbus card.

Does anyone know if either of the above includes hardware encoding and/or if you have experience of any other devices that covers all 4 requirements? I have checked the respective websites but it just isn't clear if they include hardware encoding.

Thanks in advance.
