not getting much luck in the cables section so someone here may know!

what cables do i need to connect my harman kardon avr amp / lg pz14 plasma / dvd player (after a hk one at mo!) / sky or freeview box

and whats the best way to do it??

complete newbie so dont be affraid to dumb it down completely cz il probably still not understand!

ps- the way plasma will be on wall about 1m from amp so ideally wouldnt like much cabling running up the wall!

pps- on a budget so how much will all this cost???!!!

    thanks in advance!

Depends on which HK amp you have got / are dreaming of getting! If it is one that can upconvert evry signal thrown at it to component then all you need out from the amp is a component connection (unless the LG does PIP / PAP and you want to use the feature).

If the amp doesn't do upconversion then you are looking at converter boxes - the J S Technology ones are good as you know having seen one here!

The 505 LE doesn't appear to do upconversion, in fact having read the online user manual it seems to be pre-component. It ain't going to be easy hooking everything up. I am conscious of the fact that I am not allowed to solicit for business but equally I am keen to help out someone starting out on the AV road. Give me a call mate, I am not trying to sell you anything.
