Advice on buying TV

I want to buy a new TV and am interested in the following which are all around £830. All have good reviews, which is the best TV for picture / my use, as I think the Philips has it for sound?

1) between the freesat sets

2) between all 3 sets

Is plasma better for sport and LCD for films & gaming?

I will use it mainly to watch the odd TV, films (standard DVD & not blu-ray), occasional footie and playing PS3 games.
I didn't think that the Philips would be in the price range,
but as plasma is older technology, is it better than LCD?

Sony KDL-40Z5800
LCD 200hz with Freesat

Panasonic TX-P42G20
Plasma with Freesat

Philips 42PFL7603D
LCD/LED with Freeview

Finally, for plama what about burn time?
How many hours will a plasma TV last, will I get at least 10 years of heavy usage, say 20hrs+ a week?

At what point does the picture deteriorate?

Thanks
