Only your ear’s can determine the right one.

I just bought the Marantz SR6003 after a lot of auditioning. It’s a juicy warm peach with both music and films never sounding harsh like some av’s. I’m using
    B & W M-20’s speakers with the av-amp.

The Pioneer I auditioned sounded a wee bit bright with my speakers.

Though I don’t use it for stereo as I have a Linn set up in another room. However I use the Marantz for SACD and DVD-Audio which really takes music into another dimension.

Marantz have really up’d the take here, even build quality is extremely high.

A lot of amps have now caught up with the likes of Arcam and Nad for music and surpassed it for movie playback so be careful.

Make a short list and get out there and enjoy.
