    Hi,

My friend has all the speakers he needs and is wondering if there is a cheap and cheerful 5.1 optical connection option in terms of an amplifier to run the sound from his PC. I'd imagine he just wants something that does the job rather than a big all singing all dancing affair. Never having looked at the absolute bottom end of amps I'm not sure where to start?

Obviously one of the reasons for this is to avoid having to buy a new 5.1 PC based speaker system when he already has the speakers.

    Cheers

    Si
