    Hi all,

My current Philips 28PW6332/05 had a problem this afternoon. Was watching as normal then heard a small pop, the screen just went black and the standyby light started flickering. No idea what's gone - has anyone experienced this or know what's gone?

Preferably want the Philips repaired but I'm already looking for a replacement in case the worse news comes back from repairers. With so many TVs out there I really dunno where to start other than ask the pros here....anything to recommend that's under £400.

    :lease:

    Thanks in advance.

    Dave

Can't be specific, I'm afraid but this sounds exactly like a problem I had with my Philips a couple of years ago. It was put down to a dry solder joint (or something  ). The bad news is it wasn't something that could be fixed there and then. It was away for about two weeks being repaired. I think it cost me about £100 to fix.
