I am looking to purchase a 17" or bigger Widescreen LCD TV.

It is for the bedroom, mainly to watch TV and play Xbox on. I have had a trawl through the forums and see that it is OK to use Xbox's on these LCD screens, is that correct?

    My other questions are:

    1. Which are good models to purchase (max £500) (I have read about Relisys any others). I am not looking for speakers but most seemed to come as standard. After seeing the size of 17"'s, I shall probably buy bigger around 20"/22/23 etc and price stretching to max £850.

I have wanted to use the HDTV (1080i) function on the Xbox. The only screen I have seen to support this is the Philips 170T4FS

    2. Will all LCD screens support HDTV if the source is component? On the other hand, does the screen require HDTV support?

Any advice on this or relating to LCD and Xbox will be much appreciated.

This might upset the purists, but you could get a PC monitor, and a TV tuner box.

Works for me, and for a decent 17" setup cost £300
