i have the Sony STRDH 820 7.2 channel receiver.
I am very pleased with it.
It handshakes just fine with my Samsung Bluray and Smart TV.
3D works fine and I was impressed that it can convert analogue video to digital and output over HDMI. Not many offer that upscaling feature. Useful for connecting a WII console in my case which is not HDMI.
The remote can control the IPAD for music playback too over the USB.

I only have a 5.1 speaker set up. The wife would never let me have two more surrounds and a 2nd sub anyway.
Any specific questions I can answer just ask and ill try.

See pics in the gallery forum. I fitted USB fans to my cabinet to make sure it stays cool in the closed environment that it is in.
