Hi, i'm after some advice before i shell out £2k+ on a new TV.
    I currently have a 4 yr old 28" 100hz Philips CRT.

I have a Pioneer 565A-S DVD (no Pal-P??) Sky+ and an X-box all to be connected to whatever i buy.
I currently connect the DVD (X-Box on pass through on second scart on DVD rear) via RGB scart and the Sky+ via SVHS

I've been looking at a few LCD's so i need help.
The one i really fancy is the 32PF9986 from Philips (wife likes the ambilight so bonus points there), the other on the list is the TX32LXD1 viera from Panasonic.
What should i be looking for? I'm not that clued up on all the best connection options so i need HELP!!!!!

    Thanks
    Ian

Of the LCD's that I've seen Panasonic, Sharp and Samsung were the best. However they still suffered too much from image lag and general greyness/image outline.

I'm in the same position. Read all of the reviews, thought LCD was the way forward. Went to Sound and Vision, looked at same dvd on both a LCD and Plasma. The LCD (JVC 32") could not show blacks very well, and i could see lag. The similar priced Hitachi Plasma looked much better - deeper colours, no lag.
I was convinced LCD was the best option until i looked at both in detail.
