I have I Hewlett Packard Laptop Which only has 30GB drive so I want to get an external drive to back up my Creative 40GB MP3 players. Not really sure which make/model to get. Any suggestions??

I've noticed that you can get some that are powered from the USB port and some that have their own power supply. Anyone with any experiences (good or bad) with either of these types?

    Cheers

Lacie ones are very good as are Freecom . My Freecom needs external power so is not 100% portable but it is very reliable.
