    Hi All,

Am brand new to this forum - so please excuse me if this has been asked a thousand times before. :)

I'm looking to buy a 32" 100Hz widescreen TV and have around £600'ish to spend.

I've trawled the web, read some reviews and have come up with the following shortlist:
    SONY KV32CS70
    SONY KV32FQ86
    Panasonic TX-32PD50
    Toshiba 32ZP48

Any thoughts on which is the best buy?
My main prioritity is quality of picture, followed by sound.
The tv will be going in a reasonably small living room, with wood laminate flooring.

I'd appreciate any comments or advice - or suggestions of other makes/models to check out.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

Hello Rutter and welcome to the Forum. :)

    No, it's 10,000 times before! ;)

Suggest you do a search and you'll see we all have our favourites.

The main thing is to have a demo and buy from someone with good customer service.

Also remember you won't get perfection, whatever you buy. :lesson:

    Good luck. :smashin:

I can only speak for the 32ZP48 - I thoroughly recommend it. As TG wisely says you need to get as many demos as you can - sound is very important too, please don't underestimate it.

In my opinion the PD50 is by far the best picture quality when feed with a component (prog scan) source (eg DVD players). If you are looking for non DVD picture then the Tosh and Panny are much closer to each other.

I dont like Sony for a number of reasons and so have never looked into their models. Likewise I have a seperate sound system which is used so again havent compared sound quality between sets.

The other consideration is that the PD50 has now been discontinued and so stock is very low to none existant with suppliers

Thanks for your input guys - much appreciated :)

Have had a good trawl through the forum and have narrowed my list down to two:
Panasonic TX-32PD50 (if anywhere has any left) and,
    Philips 32PW9509

Gonna try to look at both if I can - but think it's likely to be the philips....

I'll let you know how I get on!

    Cheers,
    Paul
