    Hi

Can someone please give me their views on the Arcam AVR100 and the Yamaha RXV1000.

I know the Yam has Dolby EX6.1 but will this really be effective with only 2 rears???

    Thanks

    Neil

The Yamaha has a pre-out for the 6th channel where you should connect a monoblock (1 channel power amp) to drive the center rear speaker. If you don't do this then there is no "6.1" sound.

(The e.g. DSP-AX2 has the amplification for Ex/Es built in.)
