    Hello
Hopefully this is the correct place to post this question.

I am involved in a new Primary School build in North Wales. The school will use the ModCell prefabricated straw bale panel system for the walls of the school (very sustainable, environmentally friendly, low carbon, energy efficient etc). This is the first whole school made from straw in Wales and the UK!

We have been asked to set up 4 wifi/remote cameras to record the whole build process. From digging the ground, too handing over the school to the pupils.

We want to have 4 HD cameras at each corner of the site to live stream and capture the videos. The videos will then be made into a timelapse video to be given to the School, local authority and our selves and no doubt on YouTube etc

The site can supply power and poles to mount the camera on.
So we need advice on the following:
Decent external HD Wifi cameras (wide angled)
MiFi or similar to capture wifi signals
Recorder capable of recording all cameras at the same time.
    Ideally Mac compatable
Must be able to offer link for live streaming (image will be shown to schools throughout Wales)
Anything else I havent thought about.

    Budget is tight.

    Thank you in advance
    McMac

I suspect your main issue will be the bandwidth for streaming. It may be better to organise to have a temporary fixed line internet connection.

All of those requirements, then you say budget is tight!

As stated, live viewing of 4 hd cams will be pretty heavy on the data side of things, how about 3/4g router setup for the live viewing, i have fitted a couple recently, fixed ip sim cards, cost a £10 to purchase, £2 a month rent and then direct debit on the data usage. Works out really well. Why not just take hourly snapshots? That way when put together the timelapse side of things is pretty much catered for.

    Cheers carlos
