      Advice for a beginner on getting a projector

      Hello everyone,

      I'm in the process of designing/planning my ground floor of my home.
      the idea is to have an area within the kitchen/diner area where we can all relax and watch tv/movies.
      I am thinking of having a TV on the wall but also a motorised projector screen which will drop over the TV.
      I have attached an image showing the basic layout;
      • Is this adequate enough room for the projector to 'throw'?
      • which projector would you recommend under £800?
      • Are there any motorised screens which come highly recommended?

      I have never done anything like this before so any tips or advice would be really welcome.

      regards,
      Nin

      Distance should be ok but all projectors are different so just work out the throw distance for ones you are considering.

      Might be worth checking out the classifieds.
