Advice for 37-40-42" LCD

Hi all,

I am currently looking to get a 40" tv and have been tempted by Samsung and Sony at them sizes and there are a few at other sizes.

I will mainly be watching sports and movies, all on sky SD and playing my Xbox

Want to spend arround £800

no interest in hd dvd or blu ray.....

Any advice?

After much window shopping I plumped for the samsung and I'm very happy, cod4 on xbox is amazing and it has 3 hdmi sockets rather than 2. The std speakers are weak so use a seperate amp with optical in for hooking up the xbox. Dixons online were the cheapest at £780 less a 5% discount I found, maybe even cheaper now.

Is there much difference between the different ones you see in the shops

also my xbox does not have hdmi... will that make a big difference
