Just started the Bourne Identity and at the begining of the disk are adverts for other films. Now this used to annoy my on VHS. Why can't they put a separate section on the disk to do their movie advertising instead of at the begining of the film.

I used to like watching the ads on tapes and I'm glad that they are now bringing this into the DVD experience too. It is supposed to be Home Cinema after all. :D

They are bloody annoying. To put them on a separate section of the disk would be a good idea.

I would like to see more trailers on DVD, but only as a seperate menu option.

I´d much rather have trailers as a seperate option rather than be forced to watch them. Some modified dvd players will let you skip straight past them though. I suppose you could argue that it´s like the cinema with all the trailers first, next thing we´ll have is the ads for orange juice and the local Indian restaurant.:D

if they were on a seperate section of the disc no-one would watch them and advertisers wouldn't pay for that.

Yes, this can be done on my player. The point was, was that it's a pain in the bum having to flip through them. I would like to see what is up and coming but lets just have it as an option on the start menu.

I dont think they are all the same, im sure ive had some where you have to sit through them. A seperate section on the menu would be far more appropriate.

As I have stated in my post above, I would watch them because I want to see forthcoming releases and I'm sure there are plenty of other people on these forums that would also watch them.

So Mr. McJames, don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry  :D

    I'm not Scottish! :D

As the title of the thread is adverts and not trailers I assumed you were talking about the regular TV adverts you get in the cinema and not trailers. I love watching trailers and would definitely like to see more on DVDs, although anamorphic w/s and a 5.1 mix is a must.
