Does anybody make there viewing more realistic by adding adverts or whats coming next clips. i`d be interested in anything thats availible on cd or dvd.
I think it would make more of a WOW factor to visitors
for a slide to say. the film starts in 1 min and welcome to our home cinema
and a dvd of adverts that used to be shown in cinemas.
    Does anything like this exsist

i know there is software available to make your own intro dvd/cd etc. i think ULEAD is probably the most user friendly and has options to make almost anything regarding menus, intros, adding music etc

    hope this helps

If you check out the hcpc forum or do a search you will find lots of info on the subject. I myself have some old adverts that i down loaded from a link posted and hosted by a member of these forums. :)

after reading this thread decided to have ago and make my own intro..
using ulead dvd movie factory it took less than 10 mins. used my own background with the pearl&dean music playing. then straight into 3 of the latest trailers i found on the net. (sw ep3, batman begins, war of the worlds)
whole thing lasts about 15min then loops to the begining.

I have a number of intros including Pearl and Dean adverts which I downloaded from here corny but great.
    http://www.generic-software.com/helpdesk/pandd/

plus some custom generic intros that I found

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202310&highlight=intro

plus there is a great thread here for a personalised intro based on teh 20th centrury fox opening theme
    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=5837395#post5837395

If you want a slide show style intro then take a look here
    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=5823272#post5823272

I have also started doing a few of my own intros using Adobe Premier and / or Cool 3D which is quite fun.

You can also download DTS and Dolby - can't recall where but if I find them I will post the details.

I have now found the DTS and Dolby downloads

    http://www.cinenow.com/us/vobtrailer.php3

Plus I also use some of the HDTV trailers

    available here
    http://www.divx.com/hd/?hppromos=hdpage
    and
    http://www.wmvhd.com/

I like to get into the spirit of it all so I do some tickets
    http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=5811384#post5811384

then I have a combination of the following - dependent upon who is coming

Original adverts (P&D plus some from the 80s) plus P&D intro / outage
    A DTS or Dolby trailer
    A Custom or personalised intro
Some house rules trailers that I knocked up in Adobe Premier / Ulead Cool 3d
A fake advert that I made - see above such as 'advertise your business here'
or some while you re waiting slides with media terms or such like base material came from here
    http://www.imdb.com/SearchTrivia?terms
    and here
    http://www.imdb.com/Glossary/

I also have a couple of 5 minutes to go type pieces from downloading some sound bites from old drive-in-movies and making material to go with them.

Great thread! I was sceptical when I first clicked it, but I get the idea now and the Excel ticket generator is great.

Re. fake adverts, surely a spoof indian takeaway advert would be a classic. From my recollection no cinema trip in the 80s was complete without a corny ad for the local flocked wallpaper curry emporium "just around the corner from this cinema".

I have done a spoof indian restaurant advert by extracting the sound from one of the P&D adverts and using Adobe Premier to piece together some still pictures and titles. The aim was to take the mick out of SWMBO.

Now that i have my cinema up and running, i am still after the pearl and dean intro, preferably a decent size,i.e. dvd rez size and any old adverts, all the links i find now seem to be dead ends.

    Any help appreciated.
