I've been using simple editing s/w for a while now, and after reading a few reviews ect, i'm probably gonna buy Premiere 6.5.
I know its semi-pro, and pretty complex, and after looking at a demo of it, i'm pretty confused. My 1st question is on the time line, what are the multiple tracks for. I'm used to working with 1 video, 2/3 audio tracks, so what is the difference?
Thanks alot!

You have more than 1 video track so that you can overlay video scenes and then use various transitions between the two (cross fade is a good example).

This way, when you go from one scene to the next, you have have a nice transition and decide where the overlap is.

Audio is pretty much the same.
