    I've got my CD collection ripped at 320kb/s on my PC.
    I want to transfer the whole lot onto my new mini.

    I stupidly thought that I could just copy the whole lot over (left it copying overnight - wireless is a bit slow!), and add them to the iTunes library.
    After fiddling about with folder permissions, I managed to actually see the contents of the folder. When I try to add the folder to the library, it starts OK, but fails saying there isn't enough room on the HDD.
    Seems that iTunes is actually duplicating all the files, and runs out of space.

    Is there an easy way of adding the mp3s to iTunes (without copying them again), or do I have to start again, adding them to the library by browsing to my PC?

    iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced -> General
    Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library.
