From the AVForums home cinema, I have 2 ADA PTM-8150 amplifiers for sale.
I will sell them separately, though would obviously prefer to sell the pair.
They were used in a 7.2 system to bi-amp the 7 speakers plus power each of the two passive subwoofers.
Using an active subwoofer, each amp could be used to power a Dolby Atmos 7.1.1 or 5.1.3 system, for example.
Or they could alternatively together be used to power a substantial 9.1.7 Dolby Atmos system.
They have a small number of minor marks on the chassis (photos attached).
Note that these amplifiers have a reputation for being bullet proof. Stone Audio have an ex-demo unit for sale here:
Note the price - £5,700.
I spoke to the guy at Stone audio who said that the UK distributor continues to provide support for these amplifiers, but having sold many, Stone Audio have had none reported failing.
One of the reasons why they have such good reliability is that they have substantial cooling fans which are too loud to be used in the same room. We located them in the loft space above the insulated home cinema and fed the cabling through the ceiling.

Specifications from the ADA website:
The PTM-8150 entered ADA's line-up along with the latest in home theater advancements that included among other features, extended surround - the use of an additional speaker or speaker pair for back-surround. The PTM-8150, much like the PTM-6150 is an all MOSFET design implementing four double-stacked output transistors per channel (8 output devices per channel). The PTM-8150 will flawlessly drive the most demanding home theater speakers with its all-current power drive. In a 7.1 speaker system, the eighth channel can be used to drive passive subwoofers. For those looking for special sound in a multi-room system, the PTM-8150 can also be used to provide superior sound to four independent zones.

The retail price when we got them in 2013 was over £9,000 for the pair.
I’m asking the ridiculously cheap price of £2,000 each and I will sell the pair for £3,900.
