Over the last couple of days I've been experiencing a pop up for a watch company by the he name of 'Chronollection' appearing when I visit the AVForums site. This is only happening on this website and no others that I visit - my Safari settings are such that they block any pop-ups.

Have any other users experienced this and if so, have they found a solution to remove the annoying ad? Thank you.

Yes, I've just started seeing it too, after viewing your thread!

It's fairly intrusive, and very unusual for AVF.

This has just started on mine and it's driving me crazy - surely there must be a way to turn this off? It pops up and covers the bottom of the page. If you click on the thing it allows you to close it bit then it comes back almost immediately. It ruins the ipad av forum experience. Surely this can't be what was intended?

Thanks very much for the responses, fella's.

Speaking from a purely selfish perspective, I'm glad that it's not just me! I do wonder if this is happening for users browsing whilst using Safari on a desktop/laptop or purely iPad users (I've just checked and it's also appearing on iPhone too).

I agree that it's very intrusive and really does spoil the whole experience of browsing the 'new improved' AVF on an Apple device. I'd be interested to hear any moderator's opinion on the subject.

    Hi,
I have had to do a couple of posts this morning and there was a watch pop up that refused to go away at all - mid post - I had to click on it to be forced to look at it before I could 'x' to close it and get back to posting.
    Very very annoying indeed.
    Nobby.
